Curriculum Consultants
The Network is pleased to make two curriculum consultants available. Rhonda Bowling and Rena Hulsey are veteran home school moms who are still "in the trenches." They both have experience with a wide variety of curricula and have made themselves available so that you can get advice and suggestions from another Apostolic home schooler.
Rhonda Bowling
Bryan and Rhonda Bowling are blessed to be the homeschooling parents of Nathaniel (age 19), Julia (age 16), and Ethan (age 12). The Bowlings have been striving to disciple their children for the glory of God since Nathaniel was born. Rhonda describes her homeschooling approach as "scheduled with flexibility and Charlotte Mason Method with a classical twist." Rhonda has used several different curriculum, but her tried and true favorites now include (but definitely not limited to): Saxon math, Apologia science, Story of the World history, AVKO spelling, and Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. Rhonda gained a lot of experience/knowledge about the traditional college entrance process as Nathaniel completed his high school years. She also has studied the methods for pursuing a non-traditional college education.
